I was reading Vanessa's post this morning and saw that she was doing Kristin's challenge. 5 days of exercise, 20 minutes of exercise each day. I am still trying to learn everyones blogs and names, so I don't know which blog is hers, but thank you Kristin! I think it's a great idea, and I didn't really expect that I would do it, but I was just sitting on the couch, and I thought, you know what, you can do this challenge. So I got up right then and did the elliptical for 20 minutes...I know it wasn't a lot, but 3 months ago I could barely do it for 10 minutes. Then this evening I did it for another 20 minutes.
What I am noticing is that I am not gaining weight, but I am not losing either. The scale has not budged since Thursday, and I have been exercising and eating correctly. I am thinking that I was just on the liquids for so long, and then pureed and now mushies, and I have not cheated..but, I think that at first my body was like- what..? So the weight came right off. I am learning that for me..I need to really step up my exercising. Now that I am 2 weeks post op, I am able to do more, last week I could barely clean the house without getting tired.
So my first day of the challenge
2.1.2010 40 minutes on the elliptical
Menu today-
Breakfast: Carnation Instant Breakfast Protein shake with 1/2 banana
Lunch: 3/4 cup marinated tofu, sugar free applesauce cup, 1/4 cup fat free chocolate pudding
Dinner: 3/4 cup minced chicken breast topped with Cream of Mushroom soup
